About Us

How it began...

In 1995, we opened our doors and started on this journey of promoting Irish culture by providing the very best of products  that Ireland has to offer.  The shop was originally named The Manor Irish Gift Shop due to it's location in the beautiful village of Stewart Manor, N.Y..  Most people now know it as O'Shea's Irish Gift Shop in Garden City.  It wasn't until a short time later, that more and more customers throughout the tri state area referred to the shop as "O'Shea's Gift Shop" due to the familiarity of our Father Richie O'Shea.   He was a well known traditional Irish recording artist.  He passed away January 9, 2016 and ever since then, we have kept the tradition of promoting Irish culture alive and well.  Together with the help of the community, we have been able to bring a little bit of Ireland to Long Island and beyond.  It is our hope that we may continue to serve the public by promoting  Irish culture and support the many organizations within our community.  We are more than just a Irish gift shop, we are a meeting place where you may enter as a stranger but will certainly leave as a friend.  We thank you for visiting out site and for your continued support throughout the years. All the best!

Tours

It has been a tradition since our business first started, of running a tour to Ireland each year.  For over 30 years Richie O'Shea took promoting Irish culture a step further by getting groups together to tour Ireland & beyond.  We are continuing this tradition as well and our next trip is coming up July 7, 2018.  The response we are getting is amazing and we are indeed excited to be running this tour.  So far the following counties in Ireland that are confirmed stops during our stay there: Kilkenny, Cork, Kerry, Galway & Clare.  This includes stops in Wexford & Waterford as well.  For more information please contact us or join our mailing list.
